Thoughts on The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of the King

Wow. Even though this is not the first time I have watched this movie, I loved it. I have also never actually read the book but I would imagine it is just as good. Now that I think about it I probably would not have mind reading it but seeing as how the movie took five days to watch, there was definitely not going to be enough time to do both. I have watched the first two movies and I would say that this one is the best. The way LOTR: The Return of the King climaxes is how a story should. Especially at the part where Frodo and Sam finally reached Mount Doom when all of a sudden Gollum comes out of nowhere to attack them. The first time I saw this I was like "dang this guy never dies huh." I do not think I was the only one who was thinking to myself "just do it already" when Frodo stood on the edge of the rock contemplating whether he should destroy the ring. It was quite smart of J. R. Tolkien to make Frodo keep the ring because it shows that not even someone as pure as Frodo could resist the power of the ring. I look forward to the premiere of The Hobbit because I remember back in sixth grade my teacher made the class read The Hobbit and afterward I was hooked on to the story.
