Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets!!! and Villains
I greatly enjoyed rereading this book and rewatching the movie. It makes me wish the last part of the final movie would be released already. I remember at the beginning of the semester when the whole class was selecting which authors and books to read, I was truly excited when I saw that there was a chance I would be reading from the Harry Potter series. Call me a Harry Potter nerd but I truly love this series. Anyways focusing on the Chamber of Secrets, I especially liked the part where Tom Riddle is revealed to be Lord Voldemort because it gives some background information to the villain(the Half-Blood Prince did a great job of this when it showed flashes of Tom Riddle's childhood and who his mother and father were). Learning about the villain and who he or she truly is, is a good way determining a way of defeating him or her. Its funny how this is the case because Harry learns about Tom Riddle through the diary and you later find out that in The Deathly Hallows that the diary is one of the horcruxes Voldemort sealed a part of his soul into to stay immortal. I think other stories should gave more insight and history about a villain because it sometimes provides the point of view of the villain that the reader might not have thought about because the reader knows little about the villain.
The Hero Gaol Part 2: The Mysterious Man
Ash's wooden stick flew through the air and landed with a thud across the town square. Gaol had just won his first match ever against Ash. The tension of the match was then broken by the sound of clapping. Gaol and Ash turned their heads to see a man about 26 years old standing nearby applauding their match. He was wearing a cloak and had a mysterious glow about his eyes. He looked like he had been standing there watching the whole match. He slowly came towards them and said "I love your technique there. What is your name?". Gaol usually would not to talk to strangers but he was intrigued by this man and answered "Gaol." "I see" said the man, "son of the legendary Marche, I presume?" "Yes that is I," answered Gaol. The man then gave a little chuckle and said "I should have seen the similarities. Anyways if you like, I could train you to become an actually Knight instead of a boy who swings wooden sticks around?" Faced with the ultimate opportunity, Gaol could not say no but he first had to get his mother's approval. Sensing that this was the case the man said "Go home first and ask your mother for her approval. I have a feeling she will oblige but you should do so none the less. Once you have your approval and wish to find me, look around Titan's Tavern and ask for me." "Okay," answered Gaol, "but is your name?" "My name?" exclaimed the man, "It is one you shall learn to know for I am one of the greatest Knights in the kingdom. I am none other than...Rain."

How to Train A Dragon for Dummies!!!
I truly enjoyed watching this movie. It made me laugh quite a number of times, and I thought the story line was great. The part of the movie that especially spoke to me was the fact that Hiccup is not your usually hero. He was skinny and lacked the brawn that is seen in most heroes. The reason why I like this aspect of the movie best is that I am also skinny and do not exactly have bulging muscles like Hiccup's dad. Anyways since How to Train Your Dragon was not exactly clear in what to do if you truly want to train your dragon, I decided I would make a list of the steps involved.
The best steps known to man toward obtaining and training your very own dragon!!! (As seen in the movie How To Train Your Dragon.)
1. First you must build a contraption with which you shoot the dragon down. Remember your objective is to capture not kill.
2. Track the dragon's downward spiral toward earth so you can approximate the site at which the dragon will crash land.
3. Make sure you bring some fish, never eel, with which to distract the dragon because it will likely be wounded.
4. Next you must gain the dragon's trust. The best method known is to touch it on the face around the nose area with the palm of your hand.
5. After gaining the dragon's trust, play around with it. Dragons especially love it when you draw for them.
6. The last and final step is to..........buy the next edition of How to Train A Dragon for Dummies!!!!
Ahaha just kidding. Next you must learn to ride the dragon. Once this feat is accomplished, your dragon should be 100% tame.

The Hero Gaol Part 1: The Match
The sound of the crowing rooster woke Gaol up from is sleep. He went to check the date and saw it was May 1, the day that 16 years ago, Marche slew the evil dragon Tiamat and brought peace to the Kingdom of Calm. Today was a day of happiness and celebration for everybody but Gaol could not help but feel sadden because it was on this day 16 years ago that his father died defeating Tiamat and ultimately became a legend. Gaol had been told that his father, Marche, was one of the bravest and noblest Knights there ever was. These stories of his father were all Gaol knew about him because Gaol's mother was still pregnant with him at the time. The stories were not sufficient though. Gaol wanted to know more about his father and to do this he would need to become a Knight.
It was just like any other day. Wake up in the morning and help his mother do chores around the house. When Gaol eventually got done with his chores, he went to play with his friend who was 2 years older named Ash. They would practice their swordsmanship with wooden sticks as both aspired to become Knights. Today, May 1, Gaol and Ash set a bet, who ever could disarm the other first would be declared the winner and not have to do chores for a week because the loser would do them for him. Ash was truly the better swordsman and had an advantage over Gaol because being as skinny as Gaol was, he barely had the strength to strike heavy blows. The match was set to begin. In an open town square where there was not much activity so as not to disturb the public. They first crossed swords as a sign of respect for the other then they broke apart to ready themselves for combat. Gaol knew he had little chance to disarm Ash head on so he would have to use his superior agility to help him. They circled one another until Ash made the first move with a downward slash at Gaol. Gaol quickly moved his sword in place to stop the blow but was surprised at how much strength was placed behind it that it threw him off balance. Ash saw this and went in to deliver the disarming strike but Gaol suddenly fell to the side and rolled out of the way. Gaol had luckily escaped an extra week of chores for now but he wondered how long he could last. He knew he had to end it fast so he rushed in trying to deliver quick strikes to the body. Ash was taken by surprise as he did not expect Gaol to use a head on tactic. He none the less blocked all of Gaol's strikes but that was exactly what Gaol had wanted because they weakened Ash's grip on the wooden stick. Seeing his opportunity, with one final swiping motion Gaol used all his strength and knocked the wooden stick out of Ash's hand.

Thoughts on The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of the King
Wow. Even though this is not the first time I have watched this movie, I loved it. I have also never actually read the book but I would imagine it is just as good. Now that I think about it I probably would not have mind reading it but seeing as how the movie took five days to watch, there was definitely not going to be enough time to do both. I have watched the first two movies and I would say that this one is the best. The way LOTR: The Return of the King climaxes is how a story should. Especially at the part where Frodo and Sam finally reached Mount Doom when all of a sudden Gollum comes out of nowhere to attack them. The first time I saw this I was like "dang this guy never dies huh." I do not think I was the only one who was thinking to myself "just do it already" when Frodo stood on the edge of the rock contemplating whether he should destroy the ring. It was quite smart of J. R. Tolkien to make Frodo keep the ring because it shows that not even someone as pure as Frodo could resist the power of the ring. I look forward to the premiere of The Hobbit because I remember back in sixth grade my teacher made the class read The Hobbit and afterward I was hooked on to the story.
My Try at Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was known for using more words then was necessary to describe things in his stories. I remember someone saying that this was due to Dickens being paid by how many words he wrote so I shall give it a try myself.

Object: Lamp
The tan colored lamp gives off a faint glow. Its cone shaped lamp shade by itself looks like a UFO but when combined with the lamp it creates an elegance look. The stand of the lamp has some lady-like curves and comes to a peak at where it meets the radiant light bulb. One could say that without the lamp shade to contain and focus the light, it would explode in all directions. Then there protruding out the side of the lamp there is the silver switch. Its shape is similar to that of a switch used on a windup toy but for some reason it reminds me of a key. Probably because like a key the switch is used to open the door between light and dark by shining upon the room.
Outline of my Anti-Hero
Hero's Name: Gaol
Villain's Name: King Zeromus
Setting: Kingdom of Calm, during medieval times with castles and dragons (Lol yes I know its corny)
Master: Rain
Plot: Gaol's life long dream has been to follow in his father, Marche's, footsteps and become a knight but only those that are truly pure-hearted and courageous can become knights. Those who have accomplished this feat are known the world over and admired for their bravery and willingness to defend others. One day Gaol is doing chores with his friend Ash when they meet a man named Rain who notices the potential in Gaol and decides to train him. Not known to Gaol at the time but Rain is a knight himself. Through his training to be a knight Gaol learns many things from Rain. Then on the day of Gaol's trial to become a knight, Rain mysteriously disappears. Gaol passes the test and is knighted by the king but is saddened by the fact his mentor is gone. One year has gone by since the disappearance of Rain when Gaol is engaged my a hooded figure in an alley. It turns out the person is none other than Rain who has much to tell Gaol. The most important of which is that the whole concept of knighthood is not what it used to be. That the ruler of the kingdom, King Zeromus and the most elite knights have been corrupted. It turns out that Zeromus has actually been creating the monsters and fiends that terrorize the people and through this he is able to instill the fear to keep him in power.
Why Makes Gaol an Anti-Hero: Gaol is not seen as the type who could wield a sword or shield, alone be a knight. In contrast to his friend Ash, he is skinny and many consider him too young at age 16. Gaol also has never had to demonstrate if he truly has the courage to be a knight so many doubt whether he can truly do it.
