Outline of my Anti-Hero

Hero's Name: Gaol

Villain's Name: King Zeromus

Setting: Kingdom of Calm, during medieval times with castles and dragons (Lol yes I know its corny)

Master: Rain

Plot: Gaol's life long dream has been to follow in his father, Marche's, footsteps and become a knight but only those that are truly pure-hearted and courageous can become knights. Those who have accomplished this feat are known the world over and admired for their bravery and willingness to defend others. One day Gaol is doing chores with his friend Ash when they meet a man named Rain who notices the potential in Gaol and decides to train him. Not known to Gaol at the time but Rain is a knight himself. Through his training to be a knight Gaol learns many things from Rain. Then on the day of Gaol's trial to become a knight, Rain mysteriously disappears. Gaol passes the test and is knighted by the king but is saddened by the fact his mentor is gone. One year has gone by since the disappearance of Rain when Gaol is engaged my a hooded figure in an alley. It turns out the person is none other than Rain who has much to tell Gaol. The most important of which is that the whole concept of knighthood is not what it used to be. That the ruler of the kingdom, King Zeromus and the most elite knights have been corrupted. It turns out that Zeromus has actually been creating the monsters and fiends that terrorize the people and through this he is able to instill the fear to keep him in power.

Why Makes Gaol an Anti-Hero: Gaol is not seen as the type who could wield a sword or shield, alone be a knight. In contrast to his friend Ash, he is skinny and many consider him too young at age 16. Gaol also has never had to demonstrate if he truly has the courage to be a knight so many doubt whether he can truly do it.

  1. I like this outline richard. you should keep writing it, I would love to read it. It's sort of catchy like king arthur in the cartoon version. I love it.
